I would like to play about 100 quick time videos in iScreensaver. If I use MPEG-4 40 sec 1280x720, 24fps videos at about 28.6 MB on a mini 2.5 Ghz intel core i5 with 4GB of memory would it be possible to play this many videos? I am using OSX 10.8.4
If not or unlikely what video files and hardware would would help increase the chances of this working? Before undertaking this project I want to try and get off to the right start instead of unnecessarily experimenting on my own.
iScreensaver Designer has no pre-set limits on the size, quality, length, or quantity of videos (although there are some maximum file-size limitations of about 2GB). So, what you propose to do should work.
However, there are too many variables to give you any sort of guarantee, so the best thing is to just download the free Trial version and give it a try.
