Is there a limit in windows about the amount of screensavers?

I have more than 150 screensavers but i believe that not all the ss are being used. Is there a possibility to increase this amount?

Interesting question: we’ve never tried that many at once, and I suppose there may be some sort of limit in Windows.

One thing to be aware of is that when using iScreensaver, you can do two different installation locations:

  • for All users
  • for Me

The For Me option installs the screensaver in a location which Windows doesn’t check normally, so it’s easy for the screensaver to “go missing” if you do this.

Even when i copy a simple .scr file in the default folders (windows, system32 or SysWow64) does not work. The droplist in Windows settings gives only a amount of hundred and other screensavers are not possible to select. Also when I use the SS manager program “Screensaver Commander”, every screensaver I install or add reports the app “list index out of bounds” so without increasing this index the whole screensaver thing is useless.
