Hi,
Which would be most efficient, creating a simple video screensaver using Flash video or Quicktime?
IS it possible to use FLV or F4V files or does flash video always have to be embedded within a SWF?
Many thanks

At the moment, all video must be in a single file, which means it must be embedded.
In terms of pure performance, the QuickTime saver is usually going to have better performance (higher quality for the amount of CPU used). The main disadvantage with QuickTime on Windows is that it’s a separate install that is quite a bit more trouble to install than Flash is.
For this reason, some folks choose to provide to savers:
For mac: Using QuickTime
For win: using Flash/SWF
This allows the windows users to just install Flash rather than QuickTime.
